Chloe Marshall, size 16, is runner-up in Miss England

On July 21st the first plus size 16 girl to reach the finals, came second in the Miss England beauty contest.
Chloe Marshall, who is a trainee opera singer from Cranleigh, was Miss Surrey.
She previously had said: "I wanted to enter Miss England to show everyone that you can be beautiful no matter what size you are and that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes."
Chloe gave up training to be a beautician after being snapped up by a plus size model agency. At 5ft 10in, 12st 5lb and a 36E, she is keen to point out that the average UK woman is a size 16 like her.
Asked about her feelings about herself she said : "I've always been bigger than most girls. Last year I went on a really strict diet and got down to a size 12, but I just looked like skin and bones, it didn't suit me. I eat healthily, I go to the gym a lot. This is just the size I'm meant to be."
